Uncle Larry had a way of touching the heart of people he came in contact with. He was one of kind no doubt about it. Saddened to learn of Larry's death. He is a great man and was an inspiration to many. I took an community ed class at Gordon several years back and Larry taught the class. Wonderful class and Larry was awesome in explaining things. My sincere sympathy to the family. May God bless you all.

Larry was loved by many and a great Sheriff for Lamar county.He will be miss by all. My Dad 'T.H.Bailey" always considered him a great and true friend.when I told him about Larry's passing he just cried.he is 90 and will not be able to visit y'all at this time due to his and mama's health. we will keep you all in our prayers.

My family is deeply saddened to hear of this great loss not ony to Lamar County but Georiga as well. Larry and Buddy are dear friends for years. I am so sorry for your loss. Sheriff Waller and I had a private joke between us about my love of cats and his saying he would bring any cats he found to my house. He would say "cats are good" to get on my good side and get my vote!!! He will be missed. He was a true family man.
