Obituary of Albert Reeves
Mr. Albert “Harold” Reeves, age 82, of Barnesville, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. Born in Thomaston, Mr. Reeves is the son of the late Mrs. Eva Reeves Kaler, and was also preceded in death by his Brothers, Mr. John Howard Reeves, and Mr. Jack Reeves, and by his Sister, Mrs. Mildred Forster. Mr. Reeves was a Retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, having served from 1951 until his retirement in 1971. He then went on to serve the airline industry from 1971 to 1994; first with local carrier Southern Airways, and lastly with Northwest Airlines. Mr. Reeves was a member of Milner Baptist Church, where he served as a Life Deacon. Mr. Reeves loved his family and his church, and enjoyed traveling and camping.
Survivors include: Wife of 62 years – Carolyn Reeves; Son – Jeff Reeves; Daughter - Laura Bishop (& Mark); 2 Brothers in law – Mr. Robert Caraway (& Vickie) and Mr. Jackie Caraway (& Daphene); 3 Sisters in law – Mrs. Alice Moreland (& Lee), Mrs. Andra Kowalski (& Chet), and Mrs. Kathy Gresham (& Darrell); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Harold Reeves will be conducted Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2 O’clock in the Milner Baptist Church with the Reverend Ken Ross officiating. Interment will follow in The Milner Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 6pm until 8 pm.
