Obituary of James Hawkins
Mr. James “Eric” Hawkins, age 22, of Hampton passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in a Henry County Healthcare Facility. Born in Griffin, Mr. Hawkins was the son of James Franklin Hawkins and Tora Michelle Atkinson Hawkins. He was preceded in death by a Grandfather, Donny Senft, and by a Great Grandfather, Milledge Atkinson. He attended Lighthouse Church, and had worked for Supreme Corporation in Spalding County. Mr. Hawkins was also a Monroe County Firefighter. Eric loved firefighting and helping others. He was a Carpenter, who loved to build things with his own hands. He was a good ol’ country boy who loved hunting and fishing, and his family, especially his son, with whom he had a special bond.
Eric is survived by: His wife: Airica Hawkins ; 1 Son – Hunter James Hawkins ; His Parents – James Franklin and Tora Michelle Hawkins ; Grandmother – Mrs. Dean Senft ; & Great Grandmothers – Rose Atkinson & Ruby Gibson ; and numerous other relatives.
Funeral Services for Mr. James “Eric” Hawkins will be conducted Monday, February 8, 2016 at 2 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.
