Obituary of Otis Woodruff
Life Legacy
Mr. Otis Delane “Woody” Woodruff, age 75, of Culloden passed away on April 8, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Dublin, GA. Born in Griffin, GA, he was the son of the late Mr. Peter Ponder Woodruff and the late Mrs. Ruth Jordan Woodruff. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Helen Evans, and two brothers, Mr. Eugene Woodruff and Mr. James Woodruff, a Nephew, Mr. Bobby Woodruff, JR., and one great niece, Ms. Amy Wright. He lived alone with his dog “Little Big Boy.” Mr. Woodruff served in the United States Army as a paratrooper of the 11th Division and was honorably discharged. Mr. Woody loved to fish, play golf, shoot pool, was a member of the Deer Trail Country Club, and was a believer of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include: His Wife- Martha Woodruff; Son- Timothy Williams; Granddaughter- Celestine Williams; Brother- Bobby Woodruff; Nieces- Charlotte Wright and Julie Woodruff; Nephews- Randy Woodruff and Jerry O’Neal; Great Nieces- Tammy Waller and Lisa Wright.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Otis Woodruff will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2 O’ clock at his Residence, 343 Stouds Road, Culloden, GA 31016. The family will have a gathering on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 6 O’ clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Waller, 303 Johnstonville Road, Barnesville, GA 30204.
