Obituary of Judy Christopher
Mrs. Judy Marie Arnold Christopher, age 64, of Milner passed away on May 4, 2016 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. She was the daughter of the late Mr. James Emmett “Stick” Arnold and the late Mrs. Mildred Marie Willis Arnold. Mrs. Christopher was a retired school teacher of 34 years, having taught 28 years in Lamar County. She was a member of The House Church in Williamson, where she played piano for the worship team, and was a former worship leader, as well as a Missionettes program leader. She was named Remedial Teacher of the Year several times during her career, and helped hundreds of kids pass the Math Basic Skills Test. Mrs. Christopher was the Math Department Chair for several years and, during her last year of teaching, was lovingly named as “The Meanest Teacher in school”.
Survivors include her Husband- Bill Christopher of Milner; Son- Ryan Christopher (& Amy) of Barnesville; Sister- Mary Lynn Pate (& Bruce) of St. Louis, MO; Grandchildren- Tyler Young, Maryana Christopher, and Knox Christopher; Brother-in-law- Tommy Christopher (& Dian) and children Kyle, Allie, and Sarah of Rome; Step-sister-in-law- Malinda Stephens & son, Greg.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Judy Christopher will be conducted Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11 O’clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral with Pastor Rusty Sharp and Ryan Christopher officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 6pm until 8pm.
