Obituary of Roland Casto

Mr. Roland Dodson Casto, age 79, of Barnesville passed away Tuesday, April 05, 2011 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. A native of Covington, Virginia, Mr. Casto had made his home in Lamar County for several years. Son of the late Mr. Rufus Dodson Casto and the late Mrs. Ocie Lena McGuire Casto, Mr. Casto Retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years as a Warrant Officer. After retiring from the Army, Mr. Casto worked for another 15 years as a Business License Inspector for Clayton County. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church of Barnesville. Survivors include: His wife – Ruth Casto of Barnesville ; 2 Sons – Roland W. Casto (& Mary Jane) of Atlanta ; & Michael D. Casto (& Michelle) of Palatka, FL ; 3 Grandchildren ; & 7 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Roland Casto will be conducted Friday, April 8, 2011 at 2 O’Clock in the Chapel of Mathis Funeral Home in Cochran with the Reverend Don King officiating. Interment will follow in The Hart Cemetery in Cochran. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home in Barnesville on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 6pm until 8pm.
